April Pond to Meet Nursing Staff at St. Michael's Hospital, Aylsham Tomorrow

April Pond Questions Primary Care Trust Over Nature Of Hospital Closure Consultation

April Pond, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesperson for Broadland, will meet nursing staff at St Michael's Hospital Aylsham tomorrow (Wednesday 7th March) at 13:00. Staff at Aylsham's St Michael's Community Hospital are meeting with April Pond to discuss the hospital's proposed closure.

April Pond, said:

"It is no exaggeration to say that the whole town of Aylsham is furious at this decision. I stated at the start that the consultation process was a complete sham and it is. It is so short sighted to close small community units. Patients are going to suffer.

"As for the staff it is a disgusting way to treat dedicated and caring professional people and I really feel for them. They know that patients are going to lose out and we should be listening to them."
