Norman Lamb MP has praised the Norfolk and Norwich hospital for finishing atop the rankings as the best district general hospital in the country for quality of care, "This is a really impressive achievement. The N & N operates under enormous pressure because it is regularly full and so to come out top on patient satisfaction on quality of care is fantastic. It is a reflection of the high standard of clinicians and all other staff at the hospital." Norman Lamb MP has urged any constituents, who were Porton Down veterans, to contact him immediately regarding potential government compensation to servicemen who participated in experiments at the MoD's Chemical Laboratories. Mr Lamb is determined to see that his constituents are aware of their right to claim, "If anyone thinks they might be entitled to compensation, please contact me immediately. The government has given a deadline of 30th June 2008 for all claims to be made so it is essential that any Porton Down veterans in North Norfolk pursue their claim right away." Sat 3rd May 2008: Norman Lamb's Post Office Day of Protest Delivers a Strong Message - Hundreds Turn Out. Member of Parliament for North Norfolk, Norman Lamb, came out swinging in his fight to save North Norfolk's Post Offices by attending a day of protest. Hundreds of members of each local community gathered to hear Mr Lamb speak and to demonstrate support for their local post office. Mr Lamb praised the communities and their postmasters, "It is very important to have the local community and its postmaster be seen to be pulling together to save their post office. The post office is a vital part of the local community and we must fight tooth and nail to prevent its closure. We have tremendous, caring and enthusiastic postmasters here in North Norfolk, who have taken their branches from strength to strength. Norman Lamb MP has accused Barclays Bank of providing "personal banking services" for up to four members of Robert Mugabe's regime who have benefited from the controversial land-grabs from white farmers in Zimbabwe. Thu 24th Apr 2008: Norman Lamb leads from the front in fight to gain essential treatment for Cancer patient. North Norfolk MP and Shadow Health Secretary, Norman Lamb has challenged the Chief Executive of the Norfolk NHS Primary Care Trust over their refusal to fund essential treatment for cancer sufferer, Mr Charles Humphrey of North Walsham. "Mr Humphrey is appealing this decision and I want to make it clear that I very strongly support this appeal and am strongly urging the Trust to reconsider their decision.
